Nearly 30 years in occupational health and safety, most of it spent doing the same thing: taking a program that exists on paper and finding out whether it actually works.

Before founding Sprout Safety, I led the health, wellness, and safety department at Shannex, where I built the Safety Profile Scorecard and reduced WCB demerit costs from 1% to 0.25% of accessible payroll through the Working to Well program. I've held safety leadership roles at the Workers' Compensation Board of Nova Scotia, Peel District School Board, and Toronto Catholic District School Board, and worked as a consultant with Stantec and Marshall Macklin Monaghan.

I hold a B.Sc., a Master's in Public Policy and Law, a post-graduate diploma in Environmental Engineering, and a certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. I've been a Canadian Registered Safety Professional since 2003.

My work now centres on psychosocial hazard management, workplace violence and harassment prevention, and program assessment for healthcare, education, and government organizations navigating new and evolving legislation.
